mal an Unicorn selbst.
"Dear sirs,
|
|I have got a problem with one of my sigma one soft tip darts. |
| |
|I play a composition with gripper shafts. After playing a while, let
it be about one and a half hour, I have to change the shaft. At |
|that point I am not able to fix the shaft again. I think it's caused
by the winding (or is it called threat?) in the barrel. |
| |
|Please give a short answer how to solve the problem. |
| |
|Tank you in advance, |
| |
|best regards"
"Dear Sebastian
We are sorry that you are experiencing problems with your Sigma One Soft
Tip Darts, and thank you for bringing it to our attention. If you would
like to return the complete set to us for rectification, we will return
them to you. The address to send them to is:-
...
We await your response.
Regards"
"Dear Sebastian
I had a look at the darts, and whilst I agree with you, I believe the
threads have worn a little bit, but are still ok. I have put metal shafts
in, which is the best sort of shaft there is, where true form is concerned,
and they are very satisfactory. By its very nature the plastic moulded
shafts are always going to be a looser fit in the dart. Moulding shafts is
far less accurate than machined shafts. If you want to carry on using
plastic shafts I suggest that you use PTFE tape, which is available from
DIY shops, and is a thread sealant. If you wrap this around the thread on
the shaft, once or twice, before you screw the shaft in, you will find that
the shafts will be held securely, and it should not affect the
concentricity of the shafts. In the UK a roll of PTFE would cost about a
£1.00 and last you a lifetime.
Regards"
"If you want to carry on using

the shaft, once or twice, before you screw the shaft in, you will find that

THE SIGMA OWNERS' CLUB
Welcome to the Unicorn Sigma Owners' Club. As
an owner of the most technically advanced and integrated darts ever
produced, you have set yourself apart from the crowd and demanded the
very best that darts has to offer.
