Rule Amendments
The BDO board would like to bring to everyone's attention the amendments that have been made to the rules in Section J Invitational Tables Men 2013/14.The Eligibility Rule B (1) C has been changed from 180 days to 365 days.

1. In order to participate in a Covered Event, a player:
(a) must be a member of the BDO or another member darts body of the World
Darts Federation (a list of which may be found at
http://www.dartswdf.com/wdf-info/member-countries/);
(b) must not be serving a period of ineligibility imposed by the BDO, the
World Darts Federation or any member darts body of the World Darts
Federation; and
(c) must not, in the 365 days preceding the commencement of the relevant
Covered Event, have been a member of any organisation that is not
recognised by the BDO and/or have participated in any event that is not
recognised by the BDO. A player may apply to the BDO Board of
Directors for a waiver of this condition due to exceptional circumstances;
and the BDO Board of Directors shall determine in its discretion whether
to grant such waiver.

Mit Ausnahme der Torremolinos Open in Spanien sind das alles Turniere, die lokal organisiert und von der BDO lediglich sanktioniert werden, genauso wie es auch die WDF macht. Ohne die professionellen Aspirationen via Lakeside wäre die BDO einfach nur ein weiterer nationaler Verband wie NDB, DDV usw. auch - eigentlich noch nicht mal das, große Teile dieser Kompetenzen haben sie ja auf der Insel sogar freiwillig an separate englische, schottische und walische Verbände abgegeben.
