I suppose this is the line in the sand for me. I've struggled to shake off an injury for a few years now which has lead to me dropping out of the world top 64. I still manage the odd good result but just can't dealwith the frustration of not being 100%, so I'll be putting the darts down completely for the foreseeable future. I'd like to thank every sponsor and friend for their support over the last 8 years. A special thanks to my family that have lived with me through the good and most lately difficult times on the oche. Time now to concentrate on family matters and continue to grow the JDC in partnership with the PDC and Winmau. We'll continue to reach out to as many young darters as we can along with our associate academies.

Zu seinen Karrierehighlights gehören der Sieg bei einem UK Open Qualifier (Pro Tour) im Jahr 2011, die Viertelfinalteilnahmen beim World Matchplay und World Grand Prix 2010 sowie PC-Finals 2011.
Ebenso erwähnenswert sein 9-Darter bei einem Pro Tour Turnier 2013 in Crawley.

Er ist aktuell 34 und lebt in Bristol (England)

er hat mir als ich ihn besucht hatte erzählt, dass er von seiner früheren Arbeit als Maurer eine Verletzung am Wurfarm bekommen hat, ich glaube eine der Sehnen wars (ohne Gewähr), und das dies sich durch seine abentlichen Pub-Ligaspiele und Turniere sich noch verschlimmert hat. Aber er war eigentlich auf dem Weg der Besserung.

Es spielen aber auch noch andere Faktoren eine Rolle, einerseits seine Frau plus 4 Kinder, von denen eines letztes Jahr erst geboren ist, und seine Dartsakademien, die für ihn sehr arbeits- und damit zeitaufwändigig sind.

Frau und 4 Kinder lasse ich nicht gelten. Jamie Caven hat 3 Frauen und 7 Kinder, round about.
Mit der Verletzung ist natürlich übel. Jeder der will und nicht mehr kann, sei es durch Verletzung, Dartitis oder was weiss ich, der kann nachfühlen wie mies das ist.
