...... beinahe die Türe aufs Auge.
Barney hat nach seiner Niederlage wutentbrannt den Spielerraum betreten und dabei den Herrn Taylor fast die Türe draufgeknallt.
Power shocked by angry Barney
PHIL TAYLOR had a door slammed on him backstage by an angry Raymond van Barneveld last night and rapped: I don't care, I'm top of the league.
The Power smashed James Wade 8-2 in their Premier League clash in Belfast but narrowly avoided injury when a furious Barney stormed out the players room after his 8-5 defeat to Simon Whitlock.
Taylor is now two points clear at the top of the table, Wade is bottom with zero points and Barneveld is just one place above.
But Taylor said: "Barney was so close to slamming the door on me and injuring me, if he'd hit me I would...well let's just say I wouldn't have been happy.
"He's obviously hurting badly and so is James. After our game James said to me that he was so close to getting back to his best and he probably is.
"There's not much sympathy in this game. It's swings and roundabouts and if you get on a bad run it's hard to get out of it.
"I'm not overly bothered. I play Raymond next week and of course he'll want to get a result. I'm just happy to be top of the league and I'm enjoying myself now."
SIMON WHITLOCK blasted his Premier League rivals saying: I don't give a XXXX who I beat.
The Aussie took his first PL win of the season beating Raymond van Barneveld 8-5 in Belfast - only missing one double out of 10.
Whitlock also took out a classy 140 three-dart finish and admits he's not scared of anyone. He said: "I've beaten Phil Taylor, Ray and James Wade a few times now, they don't frighten me at all.
"The main thing is making sure my game is right. I've struggled for the first couple of weeks with a foot injury and just getting used to the format, but I'm clicking now.
"Phil sets the standards, he beat me in the world final, but I'm aiming to give him a really big test in this Premier League if I can. I'm not bothered about reputations.
"I know if I play to my best I can beat anyone in the world and I'm loving the chance of proving what I can do. Now I've got to do it consistently."
The defeat saw Barney slump to second from bottom in the table and second successive defeat after losing to Lewis a week earlier.
RONNIE BAXTER picked up his first Premier win with a shock 8-6 victory over MERVYN KING. TERRY JENKINS beat ADRIAN LEWIS by the same score.
